The BBC Arabic Aan Korb Film and Documentary Festival could be your entrance onto the international stage
The BBC Arabic Aan Korb Film and Documentary Festival in partnership with the British Council, will showcase the best films, investigative reports, citizen journalism and documentaries set in the Arab world since the beginning of the uprisings.
‘Aan Korb’ (Arabic for ‘up close’) is open to filmmakers, producers, journalists and citizen journalists of any age and Nationality whose work explores the key and defining issues which have been the focus of the Arab world since December 2010.
Aan Korb will run from 31st October to 3rd November 2014, at at the BBC’s Radio Theatre in London.
In addition the festival organisers are keen to screen work from young filmmakers under 30 years of age, and BBC Arabic will award prizes worth £10,000 in training, mentoring and equipment. The lucky winner might also get their work commissioned for broadcast.
